Planet fitness management is SO FRUSTRATING. I moved in from out of state, naturally I transferred my home gym. Within 3 months, I moved again TWO hours away, so I tried to transfer my home gym again to one 5mins from my new place. But their policy won't let my account transfer my home gym and NO ONE seems to be able to do anything about it. What is the point of having management who can't do any administrative handling of accounts??? I haven't been able to go to the gym in over a month yet I'm still paying for it!! Even worse, I can't get an upgraded membership unless I go in person??? How ridiculous, that's TWO hours away! I don't have the time or the means. This place advertises 24hrs service, but there's never any management early morning hours (my only free time), it's always only mid-day! Canceling now would make me pay more money than I already have without even a refund. Extremely frustrated with lack of administrative functionality allowed to employees. How will you fix this?@PlanetFitness
Best Planet Fitness Ive been to. Staff was courteous and welcoming. Daniel really left a good impression on how the gym is ran. Had a bunch of questions about getting a membership and he really took the time to explain all my options. He was knowledgable about specific workouts to hit my goal. Would reccomend to everyone. I dont mind the longer drive to this location if the experience is this good
This is by far the most hypocritical place I have ever been. They have a discriminatory managment, racist environment.and they kicked my friend out for making too much noise as.people have conversations so loud I can hear them across the gym. They also have signs up that say no judgment and comfortable place while.they have another that says "lunk alarm". When trying to get employment I was literally told they are looking for Hispanic women to fill the grave yard position. I have been to every gym in Bakersfield California and they ate staffed by Hispanic and black females and males. I have contacted corporate and they have completely blown me off. Needless to say I joined another gym
Best time to work out is definitely between the hours of 1Am up until 5 am when the crowd starts to roll in. After that its packed. Up until noon. I love squeezing in a cool workout before the rest of my day.
I've been to alot of commercial gyms across the country. Commerical/franchise gyms usually have pretty high standards. Not this place! Before writing this review I have talked to the staff on site when I go at 3am to 5am. I even left a note to have a manager call me to discuss how gross this gym is. No response from the manager and thw staff doesn't seem to care. Now I can't speak for the girls locker room. But the guys is utterly disgusting. It has the feel of a backwoods truckstop. You have to take thw spray from the gym to clean before using the restroom. Toilet paper everywhere. The floors are a nightmare. The showers have blackmold and mildew buildup that you can't believe. Even the wet floor sign is filthy. They spend more time "moping" the gym area where everyone where's shoes instead of cleaning a floor where people have bare feet.
Mayne this will solicit a response from someone.
I went to two planet fitnesses in lancaster and Palmdale. Both were clean and great.
Customer service is horrible here, seems like the men who run the desk and phones are not great at communication or how to handle phone calls. Get some personable people up there, and whoever is answering the phone calls to not put every call on hold because they are afraid of answering a question.
Before come to gym , I had call to ask can I have free visit , and the guy on the phone assured me - yes I can , I took uber and came , but the girl on front desk , told me they don't do free classes any more , and I have to pay 22 $ for one time . So, I spent 15$ on uber in one way , and I need to pay 22$ for day visit - 55 $ in total kind of expensive.
It's a nice place however they dont enforce proper use of Face mask and people whipping down the machines after they are finished using them I found this and it was gross. I told the front desk and they did nothing. And it's always the same …
